Drunk driving charge results after truck crashes into restaurant

| Apr 8, 2019 | Drunk Driving Charges

Because no one specifically anticipates facing criminal charges, it can be a complicated ordeal to handle. There are many details and steps involved with addressing charges for drunk driving, and any misstep could potentially derail a case. This means that it is important for accused parties to learn what they can about their predicaments in efforts to handle their cases as best as possible.

It was recently reported that one man was taken into custody in Tennessee after a car accident. Apparently, the man was driving a pickup truck when he left the roadway and crashed into a restaurant at approximately 7:15 a.m. Photographs from the scene show the truck completely inside the building. At the time of the incident, there was no one in the establishment. It was also noted that the accident did not result in any injuries.

It was unclear what may have caused authorities to suspect that the man was intoxicated, and it was not mentioned whether any field sobriety tests, blood tests or breath tests were administered. Nonetheless, the man was taken into custody on charges for DUI. More information about the incident may be available at a later time.

This Tennessee man’s day likely did not start or end as he may have anticipated. Still, he must now handle the drunk driving charges brought against him. It could prove useful to his case to gain information about his available legal options and how they could help him handle the criminal allegations. Understanding what to expect from his case may allow him to feel more confident in building a meaningful criminal defense.
