Failed sobriety test leads to arrest and DUI charge

A Tennessee mother has recently been arrested for drug possession and DUI after a law enforcement officer noticed suspicious behavior at a rest stop. The officer claims that the woman showed physical signs of substance use, and she was arrested after a second failed sobriety test. At the time of the arrest, the woman had her children in the car, who are currently safe.

According to the report, the woman had needle marks on her arm and wrists. The officer says that the woman was shaking and had dilated eyes, which are commonly interpreted signs of drug use. She was found with items were suspected to be drug-related, including needles, a gray powder and pills. She reportedly admitted that the substance was heroin, which was confirmed by a lab test.

The mother is facing drug charges and DUI, and the severity of the charges is likely compounded by the fact that she had children in the car at the time of the arrest. It should be noted that she has not been convicted of any charges and has the right to a defense. Due to the complicated circumstances of her case, she may seek the help of a lawyer who can explain her defense options and how she can protect her parental rights.

Tennessee has some of the strictest drunk driving laws in the country. When facing DUI charges, a person should take steps to protect his or her entitlements as soon as possible. From a failed sobriety test to an improper traffic stop, a lawyer can challenge the prosecution's case and protect a defendant's rights.
