Teens Escape State Custody

Three 16 year olds escaped custody of the Nashville Transition Center on Saturday night. They were being transported with one other 16 year old in a van when the van was involved in an accident. The accident occurred around 5:30pm. When the driver got out of the van to inspect for damage, one of the teens jumped into the driver's seat and took off in the van with the other two teens. The third teen in the van turned himself in later Saturday night but did not know the whereabouts of the other two teens. The van was recovered on Sunday morning. The two teens still at large are Melvin Dismukes and Dezzmond Harris. Police say that both teens are considered extremely dangerous.

Both Harris and Dismukes were being held on different charges stemming from different crimes. Dismukes was being held on charges of attempted homicide while Harris was held on charges of aggravated assault. Both teens were charged with those crimes mentioned above and were being held in the Transition Center since they are minors.
