Police Investigate Fort Sanders Home Invasion Robbery

Police officers from both the Knoxville Police Department and the University of Tennessee Police Department are investigating a home invasion robbery that took place last Thursday, the 13th of November, at an off campus apartment around 4:30am. The victim, a student at the University of Tennessee, had his apartment on Highland Avenue invaded by four unknown males. The victim, who declined medical attention, was hit in the face once by one of the burglars with a pistol. Police say the men took various items from the house and left without bothering the victim again.

The victim gave incomplete descriptions to the police but it was determined that the four intruders were black males that stood anywhere from 5'9" to 5'10" and all of them weighed around 165 pounds. They were all wearing dark jeans and hooded sweatshirts while one of them had gold-capped teeth. Police have said that the apartment door was unlocked at the time of the home invasion. Students, staff and faculty of the University of Tennessee were notified via email of the home invasion and given the descriptions of the intruders in the email as well.
