Holiday DUI Crackdown Enforced by MADDOn Thursday, August 28, 2008, the Tennessee law enforcement and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) teamed up to kick of a major drunk driving crackdown for the Labor Day weekend. Participants in this crackdown include police officers and mothers who have lost children due to drunk drivers. One of the women, Darlene Addis lost her 18 year old daughter and son-in-law just 7 weeks after they were married. Sobriety checks will be set up in 11 counties throughout the area. MADD supports the holiday crackdowns as one of its key initiatives to eliminate drunk driving. |
