Bust Cleans Up Drug DenA drug ring bust cleaned up a drug den that was housed in the Inman Court public housing complex in Lebanon during the 2006 calendar year. A majority of the two dozen people arrested in the drug bust have been indicted for distribution, possession and conspiracy to distribute cocaine and have faced sentencing this year. One of the final people rounded up in the bust was supposed to be sentenced last week. Drug supplier Saul Aguirre will face at least 10 years in prison when he finally faces a judge during an undetermined sentencing date, which has been pushed back. The bust was completed successfully with the help of wire taps. Over $310,000 in drug proceeds, 6 kilograms of cocaine, a pound of marijuana, seven firearms and narcotics paraphernalia was seized in the bust. After the bust, robberies in the city declined 38 percent in 2007 to 39 from 63 in 2006, prior to the bust.
